Mac OS X Tips:
Known Mac OS X Problems:
When exiting the software, use the “Close Window” button (the red button in the top left corner of a window) to prevent database problems. DO NOT USE the application's Quit function in its menu on the Mac menu bar. For example, when Portfolio Director Professional starts up, you will see "Portfolio Director" at the top left on the Mac menu bar with a Quit function in it’s menu. Again, do not use this for exiting Portfolio Director Professional. Use the "Close Window" button on Portfolio Director’s main window instead.
Context Sensitive Menus:
If you are using a one button mouse, you can “right click” or “Control-Click” to access a Context sensitive menu. This allows easy access to the most common functions for a line item in a spreadsheet. For example, control-click on a Transaction allows you to edit the transaction or control-click on a stock position allows you to access many additional functions (Close The Position, Trade It, View Trade History, etc.).
